While some may view a decreased appetite as a good thing, if you are wanting to maintain optimal health, increase muscle size and strength and maintain good energy levels this is actually a real challenge.
This hot and humid weather is playing havoc with my appetite but I know its not just me.
Hot meals are not appealing. Big main meals are a struggle to get through.
Do you resonate?
A few people have mentioned to me that their decreased appetite is the only good thing about the hot weather but I challenge that thought.
A. There are far more positives to the hot weather than just one.
B. Why is a decreased appetite a good thing?
Society has programmed us to believe that eating less is good.
Eating less will result in being smaller or being the "ideal size"
I am here to call bull sh*t on that and to dare you to reframe your thoughts around food/scale/size.
Our bodies need fuel not only to survive but for us to function optimally and I believe too many people in this world are living and functioning far below their potential, purely because they are underfed and undernourished from that bullsh*t that society feeds us about low calorie diets.
While most of us in the western world are not starving, we have access to an abundance of food, i still feel most of you have no idea how good your body and mind are designed to feel because you aren't fuelling yourself adequately.
Now I know it seems I am getting off topic here but this is something I am hugely passionate about being an advocate for - Well fuelled bodies, minds and souls to live a more fulfilled life, full of energy, strength and confidence.
So back on the subject of this hot weather decreasing your appetite , you might now understand why this is challenge rather than a positive.
To have energy, strength, mental clarity, gain muscle and optimal health requires you fuel your body well and with enough of the right sorts of foods.
So some tips for you to get in the fuel you need when you just don't feel like eating in the heat.
